Hydatid cyst of the liver is a slowly developing parasite whose complications are mainly related to its opening in the bile ducts. Resection of the protruding dome of the cyst associated with the evacuation of the parasite and the closure of the biliary communications is a simple surgical procedure. The therapeutic trend is to favor interventions leaving a flexible residual cavity and correctly treating biliary communications (pericystectomy and hepatectomy)
