    An ocular ultrasound is a test used to observe and measure the size and structure of the eye. It is used to detect retinal or vitreous detachment, intraocular hemorrhages, lens abnormalities, the presence of foreign bodies and the presence of eye tumors. Likewise, it makes it possible to analyze the muscles of the eyes, as well as the retro-ocular space. To perform an ocular ultrasound, high frequency sound waves are used that explore the inside of the eye (previously anesthetized with drops of anesthetic). The different ocular structures are then visualized in the form of an image.
