Lumbar recalibration surgery in Temara

Orthopedist Traumatologist

The purpose of lumbar recalibration surgery is to widen the spinal canal in order to free the passage of nerves in the spine. It is the gold standard in the treatment of a narrow lumbar canal. In some cases, recalibration must be combined with stabilization (arthrodesis). This may be the case when the narrow lumbar canal is associated with intervertebral instability (spondylolisthesis), narrowing of the mating holes, or very severe wear of the disc or posterior joints.
