Radioisotopic venography of limbs

Nuclear Medicine Physician

Red blood cells travel through blood vessels. Their markings with a radiotracer make it possible to observe the disturbances of the venous vascular space. Main indications: Upper limbs: suspicion or confirmation of a mediastinal compression syndrome, pre and postoperative assessment of a mediastinal or bronchopulmonary tumor, phlebitis. Lower limbs or pelvis: picture or suspicion of old or acute phlebitis, pulmonary embolism.
